Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Belotero Balance.

Belotero Balance is ideal for etched-in lines such as vertical lip lines, perioral creases, and other fine to moderate superficial wrinkles where a smooth, natural correction is desired without added volume.

Results generally last several months, commonly around six to twelve months depending on treatment area, skin type, and individual metabolism. Lip and perioral areas may require more frequent touch-ups.

Discomfort is usually minimal. Belotero Balance formulations often include lidocaine, and providers commonly use topical numbing, ice, or gentle techniques to minimize pain and improve comfort during treatment.

Common side effects include temporary swelling, redness, bruising, and tenderness at injection sites. Rare risks include infection or vascular complications. Your provider will review your history and safety measures beforehand.

Avoid blood-thinning medications, alcohol, and certain supplements before treatment when possible. Inform your provider about medical history and medications, and follow specific pre-care instructions provided by our clinic.

You’ll notice immediate improvement right after injection, with optimal smoothing appearing within one to two weeks as swelling settles. A follow-up or touch-up may be recommended for best long-term results.
